(Jacksonville, Fla.; July 2, 2003) – Crowley Logistics announced today that it has acquired Apparel Transportation, Inc., a Miami-based apparel transportation services provider. The company will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Crowley Logistics and will continue to operate from its existing headquarters with the same employees, assets and facilities.

Apparel Transportation provides air, ocean and inland transportation services to apparel and textile customers throughout the United States and Central America. Services offered include freight consolidation, air and ocean container loading, warehousing and distribution, pick and pack, freight forwarding and customs brokerage and clearance. Apparel Transportation also provides airfreight services for customers using a fleet of more than 200 specialized garment-on-hanger (GOH) aircraft containers.
